
Changes to the Public Prescription Drug Insurance Plan
Effective July 1, 2025, amendments have been made to the reimbursement parameters of the Public Drug Insurance Plan. Below are the main parameters of the Public Plan that are most often compared to group health insurance coverage:
The maximum annual premium increases from $744 to $766, representing a 3% increase.
The monthly deductible remains at $22 ($264 for the year).
Coinsurance will decrease from 32% to 30%.
The maximum monthly contribution will increase from $99.65 to $102.64 (from $1,196 to $1,232 for the year).
These parameters will apply from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
